Amazon Watch is a unique advocacy group fighting for the rights of humans living in the indigenous territories at Amazon Basin. Many rainforest lands around the basin are highly threatened therefore their rights need to be protected. Established in 1983, The Advocates for Human Rights works to fight for human rights worldwide. It mainly fights for the rights of immigrants, children, and women as they are highly vulnerable. The advocacy group is supported by volunteers, staff members and partners globally.

Also, the group investigates and deals with human violations and protects the rights of refugees. Previously, the Advocates for Human Rights Group was created as a non-profit, impartial and an independent body.

Lacey & Larkin Frontera Fund

Lacey & Larkin Frontera Fund is a famous advocacy group established by two journalists, Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin. The group mainly supports civil, human and migrant rights organizations around Phoenix, Arizona. Sherriff Joe Arpaio sued the two journalists after revealing his case that was on proceedings, and they were arrested in October 2007.

Fortunately, their innocence was proved, and they received a court settlement of $ 3.75 million.

They used the money to create the Lacey & Larkin Frontera Fund to protect the rights of the people in Arizona.

The advocacy group has worked safeguarding many people who always appreciated it. Also, Michael and Jim are also famous as the founders of Village Voice Media and the Phoenix New Times.
