Chairman & CEO Anthony Petrello of Nabors Industries Commits to Supporting the Texas Children’s Hospital

Anthony Petrello of Nabors Industries, a leader in proving drilling rigs and the largest drilling fleet rig in the world is devoted to family, business, and philanthropy. In 2007, Anthony Petrello and his wife Cynthia and Jan and Dan Duncan donated $50 million to start the first basic research institution, nationally and globally. The Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute at Texas Children’s Hospital finally opened its doors in 2010 to discover therapies to treat childhood neurological diseases.

Mr. Petrello and Mrs. Petrello are proud to support such causes after years of searching for a hospital to treat their young daughter. They eventually found the Texas Children’s Hospital, the only medical institution in the world to focus research on the brain for children. After therapy treatments at the facility, the Petrello family has recognized remarkable motor skill development in their daughter who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, a neurological disease. Anthony Petrello is a member of the Hospital’s Board of Trustees and financially supports the Neurological Research Institute.

Texas Children’s Hospital and The Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute announced Mr. and Mrs. Petrello made a $7 million pledge. They have already donated $5 million of the pledge to help the institute further its studies to understand the pathogenesis of neurological diseases. Many scientists and physicians are working on common goals to develop therapy treatments to help children patients.


Nabors Industries Ltd. provides solutions and services for drilling offshore, land, directional, software applications, and technology to global oil and gas markets. Anthony Petrello of Nabors Industries serves as the CEO and President beginning in 2011, and Chairman, since 2012. Anthony Petrello joined the company in 1991 immediately after leaving Baker & McKenzie Law Firm.

Mr. Petrello is a graduate from Yale University and Harvard Law School, holding bachelor’s, master’s, and J.D. degrees in mathematics and law. He practiced general corporate law, international arbitration, and taxation from 1979 to 1991, before joining Nabors Industries to serve as the Chief Operating Officer. Anthony has devoted nearly 26 years overseeing strategic planning and operations at the company, and providing leadership.


Sam Boraie: Leading the Frontier in Real Estate Development

Sam Boraie and Boraie Development Company have breathed a new lease of life to New Brunswick community. The advent of the Boraie development projects was in creating the modern uptown structure in downtown New Brunswick Community. Sam Boraie developed the Newark residential complex that helped in bringing the modern life of the Newark community back to life. The Newark rental complex enabled the community of Newark to access modern residential areas which were not available in the area before. Historical State Theatre

Boraie development sponsored free summer movie series in Historical state theater. The free summer movies lasted in two months; July and August. The airing of the movies provided an opportunity for friends and members to join up in the historical center and watch family friendly movies. The free summer movies were shown at ten thirty in the morning and seven in the night. The New Jersey community got the opportunity of watching movies on large screens free of charge.

Sam Boraie is a member of Non-profit Elijah Promise. Elijah’s Promise is an organization set up for fighting hunger in New Jersey. Elijah’s Promise serves New Jersey population through promoting good food for all. Elijah promise provides education and training to the community on good food and nutrition. The ex- chief executive officer of CCmp Capital Advisor, Stephen Murray, who resigned a month before his death, died at the age of 52. The former resigned due to health issues and later was deceased on March 12. He was described by his partners in CCMP Capital Advisors as a deal maker and a terrific investor.

Stephen Murray was born on August 2nd, 1962. He attended Boston College where he earned a degree in economics in 1984. He then proceeded to Columbia business school from which he earned a master’s degree in business administration. The consequent changes in his first job built his career positively. He became the head of the buyout in JP Morgan partners in 2005. Steve Murray became the co-founder of CCMP Capital in 2006 as a spinout of JP Morgan Chase. CCMP spun out of JP Morgan to avoid conflicts with clients at the bank. CCMP Capital contained the buyout and growth equity team of its private equity group.

It specializes in a middle market controlled buyouts growth equity investments. In 2007, Murray was named CEO of CCMP Capital. He has also worked on the board of major companies such as legacy hospital partners, Warner Chilcott, Pinnacle Foods and Generac power systems among others.
